Advance notice - TUC Public Services Pensions Parliamentary Lobby - 16 November

Amicus is supporting the TUC hosted Public Services Pensions Parliamentary Lobby of the House of Commons, Westminster on 16 November 2004. This is very short notice but is timed so that it can assist all unions with public services membership who are currently involved in consultation over proposals to change employee pension schemes.

This advance notice is to encourage you to alert members to the lobby date. Further information will follow. Lobby material will be sent to Regional Offices and to reps/stewards by post.

Consultation on the NHS Scheme commences on 1 December 2004 and Amicus will consider a further lobby specifically tailored to the concerns and aspiration of our members employed by the NHS as well as those in PFIs, however a good presence on the 16 November lobby will be a flying start to getting our members views across to MPs. We are urging colleagues to work towards a representative turnout from the NHS and PFIs.
