AfC - At Review of Unsocial Hours Payments

The national unsocial hours review partnership group met on 13th March to review progress. It was anticipated that data would be available from the sites where piloting of options had started. The NHS employers reported that there was very little information available and the amount of work that has yet to be undertaken is considerable. Therefore they proposed revising the timetable for implementation of a new USH agreement from 1st October 2006 to 1st April 2007. This was agreed by the unions and it was decided to make a joint approach to the DoH outlining the rationale for a postponed implementation date. The attached letter from Andrew Foster, Director of Workforce, confirms that the date for implementing any new USH agreement will be 1st April 2007.
