Agenda for Change - good practice guidance on merging organisations The widespread PCT and SHA mergers and reconfigurations across England have indicated there is need for clear guidance on the impact of those changes on the AfC process. The attached guidance is intended to assist employers and union reps on the issues of harmonising payband outcomes against the equal pay framework in merged organisations and applying AfC procedures to new jobs. There is a strong message about partnership working and workplace reps in merged or reconfigured organisations should ensure that their employers follow this guidance. Although the guidance has been prompted by the situation in England, the principles and procedures apply to all NHS organisations.
