Victory in the Newcastle Tribunal on RRP

Newcastle NHS Trust cited four of our Maintenance Craft members who work for them in an Employment Tribunal application which was seeking to undermine the principle that an RRP was a nationally agreed Premia as identified by Agenda for Agenda agreement.

We have received the Tribunal’s judgment in relation to the above case this morning. I am pleased to inform you that we have defended the Trust’s case successfully.

The Tribunal has ordered that the written statement of changes to terms and conditions of employment, which was given to each of our members following the implementation of Agenda for Change, should be amended by adding the following further particulars:

"A recruitment and retention premium shall also be paid, at the yearly rate of £2,808 with effect from 1 October 2004, at the yearly rate of £2,899 with effect from 1 April 2005 and at the yearly rate of £2,972 with effect from 1 April 2006".
