Mileage Allowances Colleagues
The NHS Staff Council established a mileage allowance sub group last year which is currently collecting information to inform the review of mileage allowances. However it is clear that the steep rise in fuel costs is not being covered by the current mileage allowances in Annex L of the Agenda for Change handbook. Accordingly the staff side has prepared a briefing paper and claim for an increase in mileage allowances which were submitted to the staff council executive on 12th May. The briefing is attached and you will be advised of the response we receive from the NHS Employers.
