Scottish Professional Advisory Committee
Nominations Required

2nd June 2006

The Scottish Professional Advisory Committee (SPAC) was launched today at the joint meeting of the Association of Scottish Chief Pharmacists and the Scottish Specialists in Pharmaceutical Public Health in Edinburgh.

Nominations are sought for the six members of the Committee which, given the geography of Scotland, is unlikely to physically meet very often. It is intended that the majority of the work of the Committee be done via email and teleconference. Membership of the committee will be for the Secretary for Scotland to decide, so there will be no elections. However, it is intended that the membership of SPAC encompass the widest possible range of managed service pharmacy practice as well as a full geographical spread.

The closing date for nominations is 30th June 2006 and an announcement of Committee membership will be made as soon as possible after that date.
