Corporate Working - what does it mean?

A new CPHVA publication reveals all.

A new publication to help community nurses to achieve their goals by better team working has been published by the Community Practitioners’ and Health Visitors’ Association (CPHVA).

Corporate working in health visiting and public health nursing teams has been written by Cheryll Adams, the CPHVA’s Professional Officer for Research and Practice Development, and Neil Brocklehurst, an independent consultant in Public Health Practice Development.

CPHVA Director Mark Jones said: ‘ I believe it is a publication which is truly responding to the needs of our members.’

‘Indeed the impetus to produce it came from the many callers to the CPHVA seeking guidance on the risks and benefits of corporate working.’

However, the CPHVA says that the model outlined in the book is not ‘one size fits all’, but only one template of how to establish and improve corporate working for those wanting to work corporately.

Copies of this book can be obtained from T.G Scott subscriber services on tel.: 01732 886 422 email: cphvabooks@mcmslondon.co.uk on-line sales: www.amicus-cphva.org
Price: £8 for CPHVA members/ £10 non-members.
