the latest issue of the Amicus status report on profiles. You will notice significant developments since our last report with many profiles being reviewed. Amicus is pursuing a schedule for profiles which have yet to undergo this process.
At the same time we hope to agree a protocol on finalising profiles which have remained "stuck in process".
We are also pursuing a range of specific occupational issues:
- Work on producing a generic family of profiles for Estates and Maintenance continues. We next meet the DOH on the 26th January 2004.
- We hope that a set of generic profiles will shortly be available for IT and Informatics.
- We are advising that matching of Speech and Language Therapists should go on the back burner as the review of the published profiles has been held up as matching takes place in one EI site and reviews take place in most of the others. Amicus and the RCSLT have also submitted JAQs with a view to producing additional profiles.
- We are meeting the DOH on the 28th January 2004 to finalise the Head of Psychology Services profile and review the published profiles.
- Family Therapists have successfully matched the psychology profiles in one EI site.
