Guidance on Agenda for Change Job Evaluation Equalities Monitoring

Attached is the document “Guidance on Agenda for Change Job Evaluation Equalities Monitoring” in word version. This was agreed by the NHS Staff Council Executive and has been published on the Agenda for Change part of the NHS Employers website under “NHS Wise website” - which has a link to the Modernisation Agency website.

The guidance explains why JE equality monitoring is important and what is considered essential monitoring information.

One of the key tasks of the Equalities Sub Group of the NHS Staff Council will be to undertake an equality assessment of the new pay system. In addition Amicus has suggested that the Pay Review Body include as a recommendation a full Equal Pay Audit following rollout of AfC. Without monitoring data neither piece of work will be possible.

Amicus representatives should ensure that this guidance is raised at AfC Project meetings with the objective of a clear partnership commitment to implement the guidance.
