This is a shorter report than for previous meetings. The reason for this is the introduction of a

report and the transfer to it of appropriate information from this report.

Glasgow & West of Scotland Group Meetings
A syllabus has been produced for this years meetings. It was hoped that there would be a meeting in October to discuss Agenda For Change, but that is now in doubt due to the non-appearance of the document. I will need to consult with the speakers as to their thoughts on the matter.

Organisational Changes
Little to report. The Pharmacy Review in
North Glasgow Hospitals
is still ongoing.
Joyce McDermid
has resigned as rep for the
Ayr Hospital
due to her promotion (see below).

Staffing
Joyce McDermid
obtained the post of grade E (Macmillan Pharmacist) in
Ayrshire & Arran Acute Trust
.
North Glasgow Hospitals
have recently made a number of appointments including a Divisional Lead Pharmacist for the Cancer and Cardiac Division with managerial responsibility for
Gartnavel General Hospital
. Elsewhere, several problems with obtaining staff or locum cover have been reported as have problems with plummeting morale.

Advice has been given on regrading and EDA negotiations. I have also solved a few membership related problems for members.

Group News
I have been informed of several new members and processed several others as Membership Secretary for the Group. I have also processed a number of address changes and some name changes. We still have a vacancy for Group Vice-chairman. If anyone is interested in finding out what is involved, please contact a member of the Group Committee.
