Staffing
Glasgow Primary Care currently have 6 pharmacist vacancies, with only one being covered by a locum. In Lanarkshire, 2 new pharmacist posts have been created for medicines management roll-out.

Agenda for Change
The biggest problem since the agreement on Agenda for Change has been managing the reduction in hours.

I have been trained as a job matcher and will be attending my first panel on 16th February. I have been involved in a local partnership group to decide how the reduction in hours is to be implemented. There is also a pan-Glasgow group looking at job descriptions and person specifications for pharmacy staff. I have not been able to attend this group but Ian MacDonald has represented GHP.

Glasgow Pharmacy Services Review
I organized a meeting of Glasgow GHP and Amicus reps to discuss the current review of Pharmacy Services. The meeting was addressed by Bill Goudie, Employee Director of Greater Glasgow Health Board, and explained the need for reps to be nominated for the sub groups of the various strands of the review. It is important this review is carried out properly and the departure of the North Glasgow Chief Pharmacist, Keith Ridge, for Birmingham is unfortunate, to say the least.

Membership
I have processed around 3 new membership forms since the last meeting and dealt with several membership queries and problems.
