Agenda for Change - Job Descriptions and Practice Matching

The references below summarise advice issued in Reps Direct. These back editions can be found on www.amicushealth.org or by contacting Reps Direct.

1) Amicus guide for workplace reps/stewards [RD274]
This publication gives detailed advice on AfC process and is relevant to all reps/stewards currently involved in the agreed preparations should rollout go ahead.

2) Shadow Executive Advice on AfC Job Descriptions [RD267]
The Shadow Executive is the body responsible for monitoring EI sites and issuing guidance on all aspects of AfC. This advice from the SE on JDs has the status of a national agreement.

3) AfC Update [RD261]
The attachment to this RD sets out the Shadow Executive's position on preparation for rollout. There are about 20 steps to bear in mind before proceeding with practice matching and ensuring JDs are up to date is one of them. A clear and agreed early lesson from the EI sites is preparation, preparation, preparation. If reps/stewards feel that the pace at employer level does not fit in with this advice we recommend that the employer is reminded of this advice.

4) AfC Members tips for updating JDs [RD225]
Straightforward advice for reps/stewards to distribute to members.
